What is Pilates?

Pilates is a system of exercise that challenges the mind and body, developed by the German fitness pioneer Joseph H. Pilates, after whom the system is named. Pilates himself called the system Contrology.

This system is different from other strength training systems you may be familiar with. It builds long, lean muscles unlike systems that build big muscles, but the ultimate benefits are not that different. Although Pilates does not build big muscles, it can build a good foundation for athletes and athletes and even reduce the risk of injury.

Although the Pilates system is almost 100 years old, practitioners are joining in large numbers. One of the main reasons for this popularity is that the system can be adapted to each person's body, regardless of age, gender, health, and ability.
